Lagertha's Battledress: Making Progress

Just a taste of what I've accomplished today with my Lagertha armor...

Of course, some delicious homemade tiramisu helped immensely.

  2. That looks incredible!!! I'm also working on her armor and am stuck on what size lace to use. Can I ask what size you used?

    1. Sorry to reply so late!
It's a flat dark brown leather lace, in about a 1/8" width. Tandy Leather sells it online, and in their stores.
      Good luck!!

  3. I love this look and want to be Lagertha for Halloween this year. I'm in no way an accomplished seamstress. Do you by chance have any suggestions on a pattern that might be similar, but easier for a beginner? Thanks!

    1. There is nothing easy about the chainmaille, but finding a silver or grey knit fabric or top to modify might be a good costume option for Halloween?
The leather dress was based off of a princess seam dress pattern (with no cross-wise waist seam), and I modified at the hem and neckline before cutting it out in my leather..
I even saw someone who had found a similar blue long fabric dress, and cut it to the shape of Lagertha's, and then did the hem decoration. It looked really good!
Hope that sort of helps xoxo

  4. Wow, that's really incredible! It's beautiful!

I wanna build my own for a larp character. Could you, please, tell me the distance between two holes in the leather? It's seems that's the same measure of one ring.
    Thaks :)
